The Big River Grocery Roadmap: Where Are We Going?

Big River Grocery is still in the early stages, but we're working toward some big milestones.

Here's a look at where we're headed:

1. Incorporate the cooperative.
We're working to establish Big River Grocery as a legal cooperative.

2. Build our leadership structure.
As the cooperative develops, we'll establish the initial Board of Directors and the governance structure needed to lead the organization.

3. Build our founding community.
People who support Big River Grocery during these early stages are helping build the foundation while the project is still developing and not yet guaranteed.

4. Reach 1,200 member-owners.
Our goal is to build a strong community of 1,200 people who make a financial commitment to become member-owners of the cooperative.

5. Break ground.
We want to celebrate the day when planning becomes construction—and the community can gather for a Big River Grocery groundbreaking.

There is a lot of work between where we are today and opening the doors.

But that's why we're starting now.
